. CHECK THIS BEAUTY OUT !! BEST VALUE IN TOWN !! EXTRA SHARP !! J.D. Power named the 2007 Galant as the highest ranked in Overall Initial Quality Design in its class. This Galant's engine runs like a clock and simply never skips a tick. It's nice being able to slip that key into the ignition and not having to cross your fingers every time.

Editorial Description (provided by Chrome)

Mitsubishi has positioned its 2007 Galant sedan to compete with the Honda Accord, Toyota Camry and Nissan Altima, all of which are well-entrenched opposition. This year, Mitsubishi gave the Galant new transmission, with the four-cylinder receiving a four-speed and the V6 being mated to a five-speed automatic transmission. All of them feature manual-shift modes.

The base DE, which starts at $19,899, packs a 2.4L four-cylinder that makes 160 horsepower. Standard features include power mirrors, automatic headlights, daytime running lights, an anti-theft engine immobilizer, power windows, power door locks, and remote keyless entry.

Most customers will want to step up to the ES trim. For $1,100 more, anti-lock brakes, cruise control, MP3 playback capability, and additional dashboard and console metal trim accents are added. Options on the ES include the $1,000 Sport Package, which upgrades the wheels to 16-inch alloys, adds a tire pressure monitoring system, upgrades the audio system to a high-powered Rockford Fosgate stereo with Sirius satellite radio. The Premium Package includes leather seats and a power sunroof for an additional $2,000.

The SE trim keeps the same powertrain but adds 17-inch alloy wheels, a rear spoiler, a mesh grille, fog lamps, leather seats, and a center color display for the stereo that includes a trip computer and climate control.

Mitsubishi's 3.8L MIVEC V6, which generates 230 horsepower and 250 lb-ft of torque, becomes available on the GTS trim. To increase body rigidity, the GTS gets a front strut tower bar. A power sunroof, heated mirrors, a power driver seat, stylish white-faced gauges, a 270-watt Infinity stereo with a six-disc CD changer, traction control, and 17-inch alloy wheels round out the upgrades.

Options on the GTS include the Sun and Sound Package which provides a 360-watt Rockford Fosgate stereo, Sirius satellite radio, and a power sunroof for $1,000.

Mitsubishi's performance arm, Ralliart, who is responsible for the iconic Lancer Evolution, turned their attention toward the Galant and came up with the Ralliart V6. The same V6 now puts out 258 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque. The suspension was also tuned for better handling and stiffness, and 18-inch wheels replace the GTS's 17-inchers. The standard seats are perforated leather, and the stereo is the same Rockford Fosgate system found on the GTS. A navigation system is the only option, and runs $1,850.
